Description
The chassis supports 8 inputs and 8 outputs consisting of Stereo Analog R/L Audio and either Composite Video or Digital Coaxial Audio. Volume control is only available on the Analog I/O and will not work for Digital Audio.
Because it is a matrix router, any input may be routed to any output, the same input to all outputs, or any combination. It completely eliminates the need to constantly move around audio input and output cables. Control is available through the front panel pushbuttons with LED readout, or the included IR remote control. An RS232 port is available for interfacing with third party control. A windows based control software package is included to provide complete control of the SB-8804 from a PC.
The SB-8804LCM replaces SB-8804. In addition to a 2-line LCD display, saving and recalling matrix configurations, and other features you can now control Volume settings via RS-232 commands. Unlike the SB-8804, volume was only controlled by IR.
The SB-8804LCM supports a bandwidth of 300MHz, allowing the full HD Resolutions without any audio or video signal degradation. The switcher can be desk or rack mounted using the included 19 inch Ear mounts with only 1RU of space. The power supply has a locking power jack that prevents the plug from accidentally disconnecting from the chassis.
This matrix switcher is ideally suited for switching signals from AV sources, such as VCRs, camcorders, video game consoles, Cable/Satellite receivers, DVD Players, Blu-ray Players, etc. to up to 8 AV destination devices, such as HDTVs, projectors, Audio Amplifiers, and speakers.
