8x8 8:8 HDMI and HDBaseT UHD 4K2K Matrix Switcher Extender with EDID SB-5688CK

The SB-5688CK is professional 8x8 matrix routing switch with 8 HDMI inputs and 8 HDMI, and 8 HDBaseT outputs. Power over HDBaseT/Power over Ethernet (PoH/POE) is an optional feature and can be found on model: SB-5688CAP. The SB-5688CK is based on the HDBaseT standard and supports full resolution HDMI video with embedded EDID. RS-232, Ethernet and bi-directional IR are all transmitted over a single CAT6/6a/7 cable. Both HDMI and HDBaseT outputs are active at the same time, effectively making this a 8-in by 16-out switcher. (For each output channel, the HDMI and HDBaseT signals are mirrored.) HDBaseT Receivers (Model: SB-6335R) are sold separately. By using an HDBaseT output remote transmitter, it would allow you to connect a source in a remote location. Likewise, the HDBaseT Output and our HDBaseT Receiver would allow you to connect a display in a remote location.

The switcher is certified as being fully CEC and HDCP 2.0 compliant and supports full HD 4K2K HDMI V1.4a 3D formats with data rates up to 6.75Gbps. A wide range of HD resolutions are supported, from PC XGA to WUXGA 1920x1200 and HDTV 480i/480p, 576i/576p, 720p, 1080i/p, and 4K2K with Deep color 36-bit. Because this is a matrix switcher, you can easily connect any of the 8 input sources to any 8 displays simultaneously, one input to all outputs, or any combination, eliminating the need to constantly re-route video input and output cables. Control is provided via front panel pushbuttons, IR wireless remote, Windows based GUI control via RS-232 port, Third party RS-232 control (via simple ASCII), or Ethernet Switch control. Zone control with 8 independent remote controls provide easy channel selection based on independent remotes. For example: Remote #2 controls only video on Output number 2. Also included is one master remote that operates all source and destination devices. An IR Extender, IR Remote, RS232 Cable, Windows GUI Software, and 19-inch rack ears are included for professional, seamless installation.

The switcher has full EDID learning and management capabilities, including a new feature called Fast Speed Start which permits switching between HDMI sources in as little as 2 seconds. There are 7 embedded EDID modes: FSS, H24-3D, H24-3D-M, H36-3D, H36-3D-M, 4K2K-3D, DVI-D 1920x1200-60Hz. A front panel Learning button activates the EDID learning mode. There are also 7 front panel function keys: ALL, OFF, RECALL, ENTER, MEMORY, EDID, and LOCK. Instantly control ALL output destinations. Store and access up to 16 custom input/output presets using MEMORY/RECALL buttons. Prevent settings from accidentally being changed during use with the LOCK button. By pressing and holding LOCK for 2 seconds, it will lock/unlock the front panel pushbuttons.
